Great concept much like Gladiabots, but unfortunately where in Gladiabots the 5 minute timer worked and felt appropriate this game has it too, and here its entirely inappropriate. Having such a small amount of time in a resource gathering game means a whole swathe of tactics are just not possible in how you play these types of games. Most of the time just when your push is finally getting some damage on the timer ends. sure you win because you did more damage but it is in no way satisfying to spend 4 minutes getting ready to push and then having that push ended before its complete due to an arbitrary timer6 found this helpful
Great game! How smart can you make your unit AI with just 4-10 lines of code? Well, its not really just 4-10 lines of code, is it? Because you have 5 units types. Make them react to each other, and you have a modular, cohesive army.3 found this helpful
24 hours in and I made number 8 on the ladder, but have to stay on my toes to keep it. Still learning things about this game, and I still see people doing things that I don't know how to do yet. This rabbit hole goes at least $10 deep.2 found this helpful
So much customization. Such a cool concept! This is a must check out for RTS and tug of war fans.2 found this helpful
Fantastic game that does what it sets out to do extremely well. If you like logic, strategy, programming, puzzle solving, or cerebral gameplay this is probably a great fit for you. The challenge comes in understanding how your units will engage with other units on the field and preloading their logic trees to act in the right order. You don't position them directly, instead relying on conditional logic to send them towards the front lines or keep them close to the base as defenders. To the developer's credit every time I think, "I should be able to do this" there is a way to get the unit to do it. They've provided a lot of depth and variety, well keeping it well balanced. The campaign will walk you through a couple dozen premade opponents, each adding another layer of logical complexity to encourage you to adapt your own stable of units. You then take these units into a skirmish in a limited squad of 5 unit types and a base in a standard RTS style. The opponents will force you to alter your approach nearly every time. Sometimes you can make a few tweaks and power through, while at other times you'll need to remake entire squads. You can keep about 20 unit blueprints on hand, whic…2 found this helpful
