Okay, so i'll be honest and say i got a free code from the dev on instagram and the material shown does leave a good impression, but after playing for around half an hour or so it just feels really, really bad and not ready for Early Access. as other's have pointed out- The game's video intro is a an AI generated cartoon using AI speech, while it doesn't look bad or sound bad, i personally don't condone the use of AI, The gameplay feels really janky and just throws you in with a gun after expecting you to figure out what to do and honestly, it does feel really bad and janky, a couple bullets from your gun will make walls explode but only a few walls. some walls don't break and look the same, as much as people hate the common yellow paint thing in games, it could be useful having some sort of indication on what you can break and not break. in the game, there's also enemies, in form of some sort of ghost that runs around at unnatural speeds and can attack you, they're very difficult to see, i'd prefer making them more noticable. Moving around feels horrible, nothing is comprehensive enough and you're expected to figure out things yourself, which i like to an extent, but not to this …1 found this helpful
Awesome game, very unique story, such a brilliant concept. The gameplay is great, it doesn't feel like "just another shooter", the destruction is also a massive bonus. Short and Sweet, it's left me wanting more!!!
Very good game worthy of buying it ❤️
Played Edge of Destruction thanks to the dev for sending me a review code on Instagram. Really appreciate it and much love for that. ❤️ Now for the review... I can't recommend it in its current state. I know it's made by a solo developer, and I respect how hard that is, but honestly I don't think it's ready for Early Access yet. The first 5–10 minutes were rough. My character kept clipping under the map with some weird blue void showing up, there was this strange fish-eye effect that made everything feel super weird to look at, and there were bugs where rubble would block the path, making it impossible to progress. The audio mixing also needs a lot of work—it feels flat and kind of soulless right now. That said, credit where it's due: once I finally got to the destruction gameplay, it was actually a blast. Blasting buildings apart with the shotgun and watching them collapse was easily the best part of the game. At one point my shotgun bugged out, got stuck in ADS, and just kept firing forever with zero cooldown. It was completely broken... but honestly, it was hilarious and way too much fun. 😂 There's definitely a fun idea here, and I really hope the dev keeps working on it b…
i only played 16mins, I didn't enjoy it, the movement system and the shooting mechanics are honestly well polished but feel out of place with everything else, vague dialogue and no help to make you understand what to do at the start of the game. A lot of visual effects that made it look like it was a psychedelic horror, idk I didn't even understand what was the point of it. optimization wise is good, but I feel like it lacks a clear direction.
The game is extremely optimized...even playing on ultra with those destructions its never feel laggy...only played 20 min going to invest more time on this
