I wanted to like this game, but I ultimately can't recommend it in its current state. Another review described it as "vibe-coded," and I think that's an accurate assessment. The foundation feels weak. It seems like the game was built from the top down rather than from the bottom up, and it shows in the fundamentals. Basic systems don't function reliably. One of the first bugs I encountered involved a locked chest. I was able to open it anyway, receive randomized loot and gold, close it, reopen it, and receive another set of randomized rewards. Repeating this indefinitely let me accumulate unlimited loot and gold. I was even able to exceed my character's carrying capacity by hundreds of units without penalty, recall to town, and sell or dismantle everything. I've been programming since I was a teenager, back when learning meant reading books instead of searching the internet. I joined the Discord intending to submit bug reports and a few feature suggestions. The developer was responsive, which I appreciate, but I was surprised by some of the design decisions. Having played it a bit, I personally like the game. Very simple but doesn't hold your hand. People in chat are always willing to help anyone with questions. Constant updates and bug fixes, (has been some rough patches) but honestly its a well made MUD type game. The discord is pretty much the HUB of the game if you need anything or have problems. Dev is always looking for more improvements in any QoL, mechanics, or something you want to incorporate into the game. If you want something to just pass time I think this would be a good fit.

A simple synopsis—a text-based MUD dungeon crawler with guard rails and some hand-holding for the 21st century audience. There aren't obtuse, enormous worlds to explore like there were in the 1990's MUDs (I remember having notebooks filled with directions hidden in my desk) and instead the gameplay loop borrows most from Path of Exile. You live in a hub, you open a portal to a new map, you clear it, come back, and close it. Open another more difficult one. Rinse and repeat. The art and music feel VERY AI'd, but I'm willing to look past it simply to see a new MUD on the market. Very fun little game and worth buying and playing even if only for a short while.

Enjoying it. Its simplified MUD with a lot of the tedious commands and systems removed, replaced by a UI and fueled by a map based run ARPG loot-a-polooza. If you spend most your time in ARPGs reading gear stats to make numbers bigger, you will probably enjoy. There is a lot of loot. I haven't entirely engaged with the craft/upgrade/mod system yet but it seems pretty solid. Really good soundtrack. Have a couple complaints though two stem from playing on a compact laptop with no 10-key, and a stupid function button. - Not being able to remap movement keys or commands mapped to F1-F5 is *rough* - small screen makes some UI features difficult, like the hover boxes are hard to hover over for popups - Needs a loot filter, or if one exists to highlight it in tutorial

Great old school RPG! Great Dev, you should give it a try!

Really enjoyable MuD and is exactly as described , blending the great fun and Loot grind of an ARPG wrapped up in a MuD .. Lotsa of fun working thru my build so far , experimenting with soo many skills .
