End of the Mine is a 2D sidescrolling platformer that features a unique art style and draws inspiration from the horror and sci-fi genres. Tempered by an abundance of slapstick humor, monstrous enemies and bosses, and lovable characters, End of the Mine is sure to offer a one of a kind experience.
You are a miner on a distant planet excavating valuable resources. After a night of relaxing with your fellow miners, you awake to find them gone and the colony you call home deserted. With only your faithful companion Camm-E to help, you must venture into the mines of this now deserted planet in search of your friends -- and answers. But even as you look down into the darkness of the mine, you can't help but wonder -- do you have what it takes to reach the End of the Mine?

A fun-for-a-while 2D platformer/shooter, which at least has enough ambition to throw sixteen - count 'em, sixteen! - boss fights your way over its five-to-ten hour duration. Unfortunately, these boss fights get kinda same-y after a while - especially when you have to repeat some of them, thanks to the game's somewhat questionable save system* - so only those gamers who find themselves endlessly addicted to hard-as-♥♥♥♥ older-school arcade games are liable to find much to "write home" about here. For the rest of us, it's perhaps enjoyable enough to play a level or two at a time, before finding something decidedly more engaging to do with our evening and/or lives. A sincere effort on the behalf of the devs, just the same. I shouldn't complain, really. If I'd grown up in a different era, it might've been ME who found himself traversing a deadly mine, rather than a cute robot avatar. We really are a privileged, smarmy pack of lazy brats, aren't we? "Oh, woe is me, this video game isn't QUITE as good as some of the fifty other games I've forced myself to play in the past six months..." End of the Mine has good art style and theme. I love mining, caves and crystals. Unfortunately the game tries to do too much and fails to do anything extraordinary. All stages and guns are very similar, the lightning is weird and the boss fights are disappointing. Overall it [b]lacks polishing[/b]. And why the hell is there so much ammo in a mining operation? And as a kickstarter backer I was extremely upset that the release price was under the minimum backing to get the game. Not a good way to value your early adopters!4 found this helpful
Game has good art and level design. Character collision with sloppy terrain has problems. Effects like explosion of enemies and bullets are not good. Boss fights are broken and unenjoyable.3 found this helpful

This isnt even a bad game, but the constant camera bouncing is terrible. On top of that the autosave/checkpoint system doesnt work.1 found this helpful
