The game itself, once on the map, is very 'vanilla', standard tower defense game, nothing fancy or new. Graphics are very simple, nothing fancy either. It's honestly, for the price, would alternate between decent and bare minimum, if it wasn't for the user interface It's beyond awful, it's dreadful. First of, something that frustrates me beyond belief, this is yet another game that does not support Ultrawide resolution, or 21:9 resolution, something that exists for almost 20 years now, so in-game tutorials and panels cover the sides, preventing me from placing buildings unless I move the map around. Something else that bothers me, there is no vertical scroll showing on the map, where was stage 1-5? oh, yeah..... Enough silly, easily correctable, issues that prevent me from recommending this game.
A solid, fun TD with resource management and some interesting layouts and a bit of a story to put all the levels together. A little bit of some growth between levels via getting a survivor and being able to slowly improve them for a single bonus of some kind. The question of difficulty is one people always fight over, but more choices is better, I had no issue with stuff before the changes (at least up to the start of Zone 2, I did the demo then into Zone 1 before updating), but changing starting resources seems like a pretty solid way to balance it as having more initial resources really lets you scale up faster. This is a solid game for the price it's at, totally recommend it if you like these kinds of Tower Defenses. Dev is responding to feedback well and making updates, as it's their first TD game you can see some rough edges but they're fixing it with good feedback.
Update and changing to recommended: The game has been updated to address its previously high difficulty. It now offers Normal and Easy modes, which adjust the amount of starting resources. The original difficulty imbalance stemmed from the developer’s high skill level in these types of games; what felt normal to them may not have matched the experience of the average player. Story takes a back seat to gameplay because it is delivered in just a few paragraphs: a familiar zombie outbreak has left the world in ruins, and you’re one of the few remaining survivors tasked with helping others and creating a safe haven for humanity. Your mission spans three distinct zones, each with ten increasingly challenging stages. Each level is a puzzle. Clicking on a stage shows how long you must survive, what types of threats you’ll face, and what resources you’ll start with. As the game progresses, enemies grow tougher, your starting resources dwindle, and you’re forced to make smarter decisions, but you also unlock more options. The core gameplay loop revolves around defending your base by placing production and combat structures on a grid-based map. The grid clearly marks your camp, zombie ent…
I started to feel challenge after 1-10. I haven't fully completed the game yet, but overall, it feels pretty good. I leave a msg in Forum.
