Short version: 80%
Flowers of Death looks as gorgeous as the baleful blossoms in its story, with many enjoyable hidden object elements to match this beauty. It has its faults—some minigames are rather tedious—but none should be a deal-breaker.
Long version:
Despite the clichéd subtitle, European Mystery 3: Flowers of Death is a step up in most hidden object game elements compared to its predecessors. First of these is the story. Our daring detective is a bit more prone to receive a blow to the head than believable, but finally he is pursuing a perpetrator whose motivations are understandable and methods match a pattern that fit both his character and the quasi-supernatural recurring element (finding the antidote to nasty flower pollen). The second is the gameplay. The core remained, so we still run around a bit too much on a large map (never turn off indicators) at the expense of conventional puzzles, but those are not as alluring as in most any similar HOGs. As for the hidden object scenes, some of them are pleasantly easy, many offer the perfect challenge, and some are tedious busywork that almost justify spamming the hint button to get them over with.

Word of your prowess has spread. You have now been asked to figure out the cause of a mysterious death. Well, the cause is simple enough, but why a vine of flowers strangled him suddenly, not so much. Can you solve this Dutch mystery? The minigames are challenging, the HO scenes fun, and the plot engaging.

It has such a 90's nostalgia, the mechanics are balanced, not too much stress figuring it out its fun yet challenging and it sparks that feeling of victory when you solve the puzzles and clues I would play any games released by this studio

I really enjoyed this title. The gloomy and oppressive mood was consistent throughout. The art was gorgeous and the animations were fabulous. The games and puzzles I was capable of completing were interesting and enjoyable. The graphics were an appropriately high resolution for a quality HOG. The game file size was a good indication the graphics would be a bit more advanced in this game. At over 5 hours of game play I highly recommend Flowers of Death. Bravo to the developers team and thank you!

Interesting story, all your basic hallmarks of a "go find 'em" mystery done pretty well.
