About Exorcist: Reviewer of Minds

Do You Like Exorcism?

Calling the name of the demon.
That is the essence of exorcism.
What is the identity of the demon possessing the child?
Using information about the demon's origin and rank from the list of demons recorded in the holy texts, combine logical reasoning with a bit of luck to choose the demon's name.
If you get it right, you win. If you get it wrong, you'll be cornered.

Exorcist Seeking Names V.S. Demon Seeking Sins

Up to 10 demons can invade your house, approaching to learn about your greatest sins.
You must identify which demon is possessing the child while avoiding interference.
Each play session lasts about 30 minutes, but you can enjoy the strategic back-and-forth multiple times.

Challenge Fate with Everything Given

With over 20 different "holy verses" that can be randomly obtained, you can gain various pieces of information and advantages.
Using the gathered information, identify the demon in front of you.
Even if you throw all your saved holy verses into the fight, there aren't many moments where you can be 100% sure.
There will be times when you must challenge with a success rate of 50%, 30%, or even 10%.
Pray that you're right. This is a slightly complex game of chance and a battle spiced up with some "divine intervention."
Do you like games of chance?

Holy Verses Carved as the Last Weapon

Each time you save a child, you can carve a holy verse into the cross.
This allows you to control which holy verses you can obtain to some extent, supporting your gameplay against luck.
If you save 5 children and exorcise what lies beyond the 6th door, you can leave the house of demons.

Bought this because of its very interesting art style and presentation that stays consistent throughout the game. It's a guessing game that rewards clever and creative use of logic when guessing demon names for exorcism, similar to how you would make educated guesses in games like Buckshot Roulette. Though there is a good degree of chance involved, you are given enough tools and lives to to take on any demon -- with the the tension amping up as you strategically improve your 1/10 guess into a cointoss.

It's a fun puzzle game! The tutorial is honestly not the most helpful, just click on crosses to pickup spells to use and then guess the demon from the list. Be not afraid, the English translation is good and won't cause any headaches.

Changing my review to negative as the developer continues using generative AI in their games.

So you are on your first day as a homeroom teacher and you enter the classroom meeting the kids for the first time. Armed with the student name list and their home address, your first task is to take attendance...with only one catch - your students ain't going to respond to your call outs without you specifically picking them out with the correct name. They ain't entirely uncooperative though, sometimes you could ask them where they live, sometimes their class number, etc If you get their name right, you win. That's about it, that's the game. Except that the students are demons, you are an exorcist, and the art style is really cool.

didn't walk into this with much expectation, then had a blast. interface is wonky and some events are repetitive but that's acceptable for a small indie horror game like this and nothing is game breaking. i can finally achieve my lifelong dream to be a rogue exorcist yay!
