About Facteroids
Facteroids is a factory building game about mining in deep space. Land with your spaceship on a barren piece of rock, deploy automated bots and start building your mining empire. You will explore and prospect asteroids as well as planets throughout the entire Solar system. Extract resources and process them in complex factory production lines of your design.
Every asteroid body is a 3D object. The 3rd dimension adds another level of complexity to your factory designs. Asteroid mass can be removed or deployed as needed. If a mine gets depleted, it leaves a hole in the ground.
Build a colony base and infrastructure to support colonists. Make sure you meet all its inhabitants' needs.
Machines in factories are always hungry for materials and power. Build conveyor belts, pipes and power lines to secure steady supply of resources.
You can trade for any missing resources if needed and unlock new technologies with research.
You can play various campaign scenarios or create a random world and start building your colony.
The game comes with a fully featured campaign and mission editor.

I purchased Facteroids yesterday and played the Tutorial. It is easy to learn. As I got into the game I started mineing making my design. What I learnt from my first play though was that sometimes its easier to fill in lava with ice then to run long lines far off to get a resrouce. You will want alot of solar power plants around your astroid as it helps when the sun moves. As you go farther into the game there are more complex factories ive made some of the products but didn't have the need yet. Took me some time to learn how to lay concrete but once I got into that I wondered how do I remove it after its set. Over all at 16 hrs into the game Im haveing a good time on my 2nd astroid and I just realised middle click duplicates what your clicking on so you can build faster. As im no where near completing this game I cant say what I havn't seen but I am enjoying it and excited to find out. for an indy game this is verry well made 0 crashes so far running easily on highest quality graphics.1 found this helpful
Having a very touchy drag scroll and the eyedrop select tool being the same hotkey in middle mouse button makes this game one of the most frustrating factory games ive played. Not having the option to change it makes it unplayable unless i want to destroy my wrists by clicking and trying 5 times to contiue with belts or pipes.
The whole game looks quite unpolished and doesn't give a good first impression. But what it ruined for me withing the first ten minutes is, that the camera always keeps zooming in, when you rotate the asteroid. wft should this 'feature' be for? I think I thoroughly checked all the settings and this seems to be the way the game should be played. Absolutely annoying. Rotate a bit, zoom out. Rotate another bit, zoom out.
It's just not polished enough yet... even the tutorial is easy to get stuck in and difficult to understand at times.
