Faded Grey

"Faded Grey" is a short Unity asset flip intended to be an advertisement for a large, paid Unity asset flip. Yes, it's your usual first person plodding adventure game as you wander around a house full of Unity assets, click on some stuff, and wonder where everything went wrong with Steam Direct. The best thing about this game is that it's very short, although there's a cheat code that makes the game so much better: Alt + F4. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's a very, very short game. I am aware it's a promo for another project; however, it is great as a standalone. It is slow-paced, and you move through the house finding clues. The story is interesting and sad. I did think it was a bit buggy once the later stage of the game occurred, and I wish we had the ability to jump around lol. Other than that, no issues, so give this a go!

Fast to beat but that is okay because it was free. The voice is very well done and sets the mood, as does the music. Emotional note at the end is a nice touch. Also, I love MOTHMAN so that's a plus. <3
