Liking the story so far. Haven't messed with the combat much (except the tutorial). Wanted a suggest a minor change I think would give the game a tighter connection to the story. Make the backgrounds to the city and places they travel very different from each other. Think of how Star Wars (IV, V, VI) all had very different color motifs. Those differences: Desert, Ice, Jungle, gave each place a different feel.

tldr: Everything is better now This game improves EVERYTHING from the first game, and not by a small margin, but by leaps and bounds. There's more art and it's way better now too. Gameplay and combat which were just there in the last game and was pretty rudimentary is now a full combat system with models, skills and equipment. The story is also now a grand world-hopping adventure instead of a regional one. This version is SFW, though, but that's the only thing absent here. My playtime here may be low, as I also follow on patreon and have played that version extensively, but I bought this copy to support.

Love the character and background art, the characters are fun and the combat is great. The game already feels polished and smooth, exceeding all expectations

I picked this up for the story and I’m glad I did. The cast is big and every character feels cute, unique, and funny in their own way. I really enjoy the relationships between them and how they play off each other. The world building is rich and gives a fresh spin on fantasy, making the story feel both familiar and new. I'm in it for the story, but the combat isn't too hard for me and I like that the card art has the characters on them. I'm excited to see where it all goes!

As someone who also does game dev, Fallen Down has a perfect amount of passion, creative new mechanics, and clearly tons of love poured in. Whether the story and visual novel style is something you are interested in or not, there are a ton of playable characters, with a rogue-like adventure mode for those who want to just partake in the combat. Highly recommend, well worth the full, un-discounted price I paid!

The game is good. Combat is very strategic, with surprisingly little RNG for a card game. The core mechanics are very simple but there's a lot of room to learn how to play fights optimally. The VN side of the game is huge and packed with illustrations. The character designs are all great and unique, except for the character Sara whom I do not like.
