[b]Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises[/b] is a really well developed Hidden Object Game with an engaging story. The puzzles and hidden object scenes struck a nice balance between relaxing and challenging. Loved this one.3 found this helpful
amazing game
Art is good and voice acting is alright. Story was entertaining enough though I did not alway scare for the evidence board. The game also has one major con: The fight "puzzles". They feel out of place and are confusing. (You basically have to help your opponent beat you up in order to be able to win.) Other than that the hidden objects are often hidden behind/underneath/inside other hidden objects. It felt a bit silly at times just shuffling objects around to get the one you actually needed. If you're an achievement hunter and know you cannot skip any puzzles: The very last puzzle is VERY mean compared to anything else in game. I suggest looking up a screenshot of the final result or you may spend a very long time on it. I know I did. It was painful. Worked well on Steam Deck while using touch screen controls.
Randomly opened the game to find my cursor bugged. It keeps floating my cursor to the top left of the screen (no it is not my mouse or any other program on my PC). Other people have had this problem and this makes it pretty impossible to finish this point and click game.

This is a great game and after playing to many older HOGs, it's refreshing to have modern mechanics. An excellent combat mini-game which is really good, and very fun throughout. If I have two criticisms, it would be the bonus chapter and voice acting in it being really bad. Strange that the main game is such high quality but the bonus chapter is so poorly done.
