Fate of the Minotaur

Index User: Art style looked nice. But sadly, just another VR experience with no compatability for tethered headsets. No turning via joysticks. Completely reliant on one's ability to free roam. If there is an update that adds the nessesary features for tethered headset play, perhaps I'll be able to enjoy more than 0.1 hrs of their gameplay. Also my in-game hands look like a childs hands. Not sure if that was intentional.

Fate of the Minotaur is a very short VR adventure built around the classic Greek myth, and I think the setting does most of the heavy lifting here. I am sent into the labyrinth as a sacrifice from Athens, with the Minotaur waiting somewhere inside. The main goal is to find my way through the maze, learn what happened to the creature and eventually decide what I want to do when I finally meet him. I liked that the game gives the Minotaur a more tragic side instead of treating him as nothing more than a monster. The labyrinth is quite nice to explore in VR. I have an interactive torch that helps reveal the story as I move through the environment, and there are murals and characters that give me more information about the myth. The torch is a simple idea, but it works well because I am physically moving around and looking at the environment rather than just following a normal dialogue box. The stylised visuals are also based around ancient Greek murals and pottery, which gives the whole thing a distinctive look.
