Lavrynthos is an independently created VR short, a funny and philosophic story that places you at the heart of the labyrinth of Crete to tell you the story of the unlikely relationship between the Minotaur and his next meal: a girl named Cora.
In this experience, you'll get lost in a huge maze. You'll obviously want to find your way out, don't you ? Well, actually... maybe you won't.
Dive into a contemporary Greek tragedy paying homage to modern dramatic theory while challenging it at the same time. Lavrynthos is a humorous take on a 3000 years old myth. Navigate an infinite non-euclidean maze that shifts space and time. What will you find? Lavrynthos will distort your sense of direction, space and balance and you might even find yourself lost inside your own bedroom.
Created with support of the Venice Biennale College, Lavrythos premiered at Venice Film Festival and in 2022 won the Stereopsia Crystal Owl Award for Best Creative Experience.

What a gem this cute little story/experience is ! I wish it was longer ( approx 20 mins ) but Is so cleverly grabs your attention and keeps you involved and so much fun that it is absolutely worth it to me at it's quite reasonable full price .2 found this helpful
game is bugged for me, after meeting the minotaur, I kept looping through the same room. One time I got to the classroom but after that it put me back to the room where we first meet the minotaur.1 found this helpful
It's a 20min interactive story with deep existential philosophy.
Very nice short VR experience. Not only the natural locomotion is great but also story, voice acting and visual style are top notch, Totally worth the small price.
One of best cinematic VR experiences of the last years that mixes room scale exploration and unpredictable story. On the drawback side: It is only 20-30 minutes long and transitions between scenes look a bit janky at times. Works on Reverb G2
