FATE: The Cursed King scratches that classic dungeon-crawling itch in a way few games still can — the loot variety, pet system, and randomized dungeons keep things fresh enough to sink hours into without realizing it. The fishing mechanic is genuinely one of the more unique and rewarding loops in the genre, feeding your best catches to your pet to transform them into a powerhouse never gets old. Henchmen with adjustable AI behavior and unlimited dungeon levels add a surprising amount of depth for such a low-asking price. That said, the game can feel repetitive over long sessions and I did run into a runtime crash or two, so save often. If you grew up on earlier FATE titles or just want a laid-back ARPG to unwind with, this is absolutely worth picking up — especially on sale.
