It's not a bad game, but it isn't for me, and maybe for others. Why? I like the survival horror genre, and while I quite liked the idea of looping progression and bleeding, as soon as I read that I'd also have to deal with a Stalker, I realized this game was going to be far too stressful and difficult, even on easy. I've always hated Stalkers. The game is already stressful enough with the constant bleeding, but the presence of a Stalker would make it unbearable, and I'd definitely end up quitting. That's why I asked for a refund. I hope the developer (for future projects) and other gamers who hate Stalkers find this feedback helpful.3 found this helpful
It's not bad in itself, but negative review for false advertising - it's not a timeloop, it's just a traditional RE2-like with checkpoints and minimal carryover after death.
This one is really good If you agree that good horror is built by a strong mood and good pacing, this game succeeds in both. While so many others like this will rush, cut, and copy, you can see this one was made with care and love, and it's not just a bunch of UE5 assets thrown together. It's beautiful, and crafted. The level design is clever by making you think it's simple but revealing its areas with skill and purpose. The creature design is way better than what you'd expect usually The negative points, to me, are the bosses gameplay (but it's not too bad, just clunky), and weirdly enough, the title, which doesn't convey the sinister survival horror it wonderfully builds upon, and makes it sound like a twisted coop shooter. But that makes it even better a surprise. There were some bugs, especially with enemies/bosses, But frankly the tone, pace and design were so good that I just couldn't stop, and had a great time in this nightmare. A great Silent HIll / RE offspring, perfect for fans, especially of RE2, which it takes a lot from while succeeding in adding its own mechanics and style, and perfect for, say, waiting between RE9 and SH Townfall. Hope there will be more from th…
Very inspired by games like RE2R, The Evil Within, and Silent Hill 2. Overall, the game was a solid budget RE clone. The voice acting was atrocious. The story was at least pretty good too, choice of ending as well. The biggest complaint I have is that the game ran like ♥♥♥♥ and the flashlight/lighting was terrible. Also every boss was a gimmick boss. Got kinda old. 5.5/10
perfect
The game is very ambitious for an indie project. The graphics look great, although lighting in some places could use a lot of work. Youll get soft locked in places, mostly with some of the unkillable larger bosses. My last gripe is some balance issues. The one "perk" makes melee so overpowered that you don't need ammo anymore except for bosses. Despite those gripes, I enjoyed the game a lot. I enjoyed the narrative. The gunplay was fun. The environment was very retro resident evil, as was the progression. Definitely worth what I paid for it.
