FEWAR-DVD

"FEWAR-DVD" is an extremely badly made 2D top down action autorunner/avoidance game where the objective of the game is to avoid it, because it's garbage. What do you do in the game? You navigate a series of procedurally generated levels, avoiding obstacles and acquiring items, to complete a seemingly endless loop... it's incredibly lame stuff so it's easy to see why this was a complete failure to attract an audience here on Steam. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Talk about delusions of grandeur. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, …

Originally a $4.99 game that went free. I played about 6 minutes and felt tired of the gameplay. It's super simple navigate a maze find a key and exit, just with a visual assault to the eyes to make it appear like it's more than it is.

fun mouse only rougelike! the black wall mechanic is a little unfair and annoying and the crash bug is also infuriating but i did enjoy my time with this game!

This was a very pleasant suprise I wasn't expecting. The gameplay is fast, the player controls feel snappy and responsive, overall aesthetic of the game is very consistent and pleasing, the music is a banger. Makes me sad I put it to the side this long, would definitely recommend it.
