Simple fantasy RPG: exploration, turn-based combat, and a retro-style story ✅Even a long game, I finished it in 3.5 hours ✅Cheap gameplay ✅Large map and great variety ❌Fights against enemies who look the same all the time, lacking any variety ❌Weak soundtrack ❌Missions are terribly repetitive ❌The game music can't be turned off ❌Screenshots are impossible ❌❌ Verdict: [strike] Very Bad [/strike] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , [b] Average [/b] , [strike] Decent [/strike] , [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested games) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Well clearly they lied about this being the Final Quest because they made a sequel.

Despite it clearly being an RPG maker game, I decided to give it a try. I regret it. The graphics are so bland and uninteresting, that I've seen better RPG maker games that are free too, use more effective visuals and animation effects then this one. Trick or Treat, Grimm's Hollow and even Ib are some examples to name a few. The game felt very unpolished, with the constant typos in the dialogues, the conflicting level designs and difficulty scaling, as well as inconsistent spam of enemy encounters. I'm dealing with more enemy surprise attacks than a Pokemon game FFS. Now the BGM and sound effects is probably the lest worrying aspect of the game, but even then there are some areas of the map that doesn't have any audio. Final Quest feels so incomplete, and needs a good revision before I can even consider it an RPG worth playing, or even paying for.

Final Quest is a retro-style fantasy RPG developed by RPG Video and published by Back To Basics Gaming that embraces the structure and spirit of classic role-playing adventures from earlier gaming generations. Built with a clear love for traditional RPG mechanics, the game delivers a large fantasy world filled with war, magic, ancient powers, and heroic journeys. While its presentation remains simple and heavily inspired by older RPGMaker titles, the game succeeds through its focus on exploration, character progression, party management, and nostalgic storytelling. Rather than attempting to modernize every aspect of the genre, Final Quest fully commits to delivering a classic fantasy adventure designed for players who appreciate old-school role-playing experiences. The story takes place in the troubled world of Paylea, a land slowly collapsing under the weight of war and corruption. The Sepcom Empire, ruled by the ruthless King Edward, has spread destruction and suffering across the continent through endless conflict and blind ambition. In the middle of this chaos, players follow Ralph and his companions as they search for legendary gems tied to powerful ancient warriors. Alongsid…
