Find Your Words

This is genuinely such an endearing game; I struggle sometimes with, well, finding my words, so this felt very comforting and supporting to play. It's free, short, and adorable- so I absolutely recommend it! :]

An amazing adorable little game. The concept of playing a non-verbal child naviguating things using AAC is a very cute idea and helps shed a bit of light on the reality of non-verbal people, mainly children, who often have trouble communicating in the first place. The game is pretty clear and straight forward. I'm not one to complain, I just want to point out a few things that happened in my playthrough that could be slightly changed. During the Hide n Seek game, I had trouble understanding how to get the character to move to the next spot. He said "count to 3" so I would end the conversation, the binder lit up letting me know I could do so. But I was actually meant to wait IN the conversation for 3 seconds for the quest to continue. Minor issue sure, but still. While I was using the binoculars, I noticed a couple things were invisible through them, mainly the back on the beach cabin and all the railings from the tower. Not game breaking, but a little immersion breaking. Lastly, I was able to hug/talk to my mom before she reached her destination, so the "Camp Pals" sign was over my binder. This means I couldn't use the binder to tell her about my day, and the credits role after…

Beautiful game.

This game is so so cute. I got all the achievements (they're all story required except for one, which isn't missable, just requires a little thinking outside the box) in less than an hour, so if you're looking for something short and sweet, this game is really good for that! The art style is delightful, and all of the characters are very sweet. I also am very happy to see representation of alternate methods of communication, with the playable character's sticker binder and one of the other campers, Penny, having a speaking tablet. I can imagine this being a kid's first game and feeling very seen by these tools.

Just Impossibly cute. Granted, I work with special needs kids, so I am the target audience, but I love everything about this game and it's perfect for what it's trying to be.
