Cant have a planted tank without issues as there are "too many plants" and "too much oxygen" LOL

I don't know what happened between the last time I played this and now, but I'm honestly sitting here wondering if this is even the same game. I feel like I have a bugged copy - I have no sandbox or non sandbox options, there's no tutorial, just a very lackluster game. Developer says that the new UI is better than the minimalistic style it had before, but truthfully the new UI looks like a very bare bones version of the game. I'm not writing this out of spite or malice - i genuinely enjoyed this game when I first played it but took a break to see how it'd develop - I just hope dev reads these and might consider making some changes moving forward. Edit: seems like the features and mechanics I was referencing were purposefully taken out by the devs, effectively removing any gameplay aspect.

Game changed so much since I bought it. Much worse than before.

A very cute, very relaxing game. It does cater more towards the hardcore aquarium fans, though, who're more in it for the love of the craft and less looking for a game. There's no goal, no end-game other than having a successful fish tank with happy fish, which isn't a bad thing. I'm not fish-technical enough to comment on how realistic the game is, but it is definitely an aquarium game, nothing more nothing less.

I can't recommend this game in it's current state but I will give it a thumbs up for the potential it has. I've always wanted to play a game where I can just design aquarium and have free range on what I want to add and how I wanted things to look. The game is only playable as a sandbox without restrictions but trying to play with rules activated is absolutely unrealistic and unplayable. IRL I currently have more than 60 shrimp thriving in a planted 10 gallon. In this game they would die within 10 seconds because of oxygen and waste build up and its just ridiculous. But if the Devs listen to the players and make changes I would recommend this to anyone who loves fish.

Best cozy aquarium game. Period.
