About Fran Bow
Fran Bow is a psychological horror adventure where you play as a traumatized girl escaping a sinister asylum, using medication to shift between twisted realities and solve increasingly disturbing puzzles to reunite with your cat. Its hand-drawn art style, reality-bending mechanics, and deeply unsettling narrative create a haunting experience that explores mental illness through an unforgettable dark fairy tale.
After witnessing the gruesome and mysterious loss of her parents, found dismembered at their home, Fran rushes into the woods, together with her only friend, Mr. Midnight, a black cat that Fran had previously received as a present from her parents.
In the forest, Fran goes into shock over the loss of her parents and when she recovers, she’s at Oswald Asylum, an oppressive mental institution for children, and Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be found.
After having a dream about her beloved cat, Fran decides to escape from the mental institution to find him and go back home to Aunt Grace, her only living relative.

Fun, unique horror game. I recommend taking your time/ plan to play it in several sessions. I binged it and slightly regret that.
One of the most nostalgic and honestly gorgeous games I've played. This game has amazing artwork and a story that can only be described as hauntingly beautiful.
Finally played Fran Bow yearsss after I watched Markiplier play it. I was way too young back then to be watching it lol. Also getting to play it is more fun than watching somebody else :D. Anyways, now that I'm older, the game made a lot more sense. It's nice that there's little things you can miss unless you really click every nook and cranny. I for sure will replay again in the future when the game is no longer fresh in my mind, it's easy to play while still being stimulating
Schizophrenia in a pill. Literally. Highly recommended.
