Freakshow:Anniversary is a compact indie adventure built around the unsettling atmosphere of a local circus and the mystery of what might be hiding behind its attractions. Developed and published by KevinTheWolfy, it was created as an anniversary celebration of the original Freakshow project from 2017. Instead of completely reinventing the concept, this edition expands on the earlier version with additional features and improvements, resulting in a strange mixture of casual adventure, horror, puzzle solving, exploration, and minigames. Its limited production values are apparent, but the unusual setting and personal nature of the project give it an identity of its own. The story begins with the player visiting a circus, with the seemingly ordinary trip developing into a more mysterious experience. Much of the appeal comes from discovering what the circus contains rather than following an elaborate narrative introduction. This approach suits the game's dark atmosphere because uncertainty becomes part of the experience. Игра "Freakshow: Anniversary" – это добротный, хотя и ничем не выдающийся хоррор от первого лица. Визуально игра смотрится неплохо, воссоздавая атмосферу старого, заброшенного цирка с его грязью и пугающими тенями. Геймплейно это типичный "бродилка-собиралка" с элементами стелса. Игроку предстоит исследовать локации, решать простые головоломки и избегать встречи с опасными противниками. Что понравилось: атмосфера, неплохой дизайн уровней, наличие нескольких пугающих моментов. Что не понравилось: посредственный сюжет, однообразный геймплей, слабая AI противников. В целом, игра ощущается как бюджетный проект, который пытается играть на чувстве ностальгии по подобным хоррорам, но не предлагает ничего нового. Если вы фанат жанра и ищете что-то, во что можно поиграть пару вечеров, "Freakshow: Anniversary" может вас развлечь. Но не стоит ожидать от неё чего-то особенного. Своих денег стоит только по скидке.
