I think most people will play this without understanding how impressive what's been pulled off here really is for a solo dev. There's a reason why indie devs don't often emulate the formula of modern RE, let alone in a realistic art style, it's a deceivingly difficult challenge. As an aspiring developer dreaming of taking this same challenge on, I find this project completely inspiring. If developed further, the groundwork that's been laid out here mechanically could be more than enough to carry any survival horror project the bulk of where it needs to go. The core mechanics of modern RE have been successfully implemented, as well as a couple that set it apart such as weapon durability & crafting benches. The aiming is surprisingly tight, a detail I really enjoyed was the shotgun being pumped before each round. For the sake of further development some changes I'd like to see are: Slower, more deliberate enemy behavior and/or a quick turn function to make it easier to make distance for shot placement. An enemy grab animation as to avoid unfair damage loops once the enemy is upon you. More dynamic and visible health indicators. A more distinct saferoom from the rest of the env…

I want to like this game, it very much wants to be like old Resident Evil games, but just misses all the charm. The game throws you into a mansion with little to no story, apart from what you can read in the initial note. The combat works but isn't exactly the most enjoyable. There isn't anything inherently wrong with having to find a key, to open a door, to find a key, to open a door etc That's how a lot of big titles work, but it's whether you can make that game-play loop fulfilling. I'm gonna review this one positively because I do think others can find enjoyment. But it's not for me.

Overall, the game is nice and decent but i do have some gripes about it though. In a respectful manner the game's save system is mismanaged and not developed thoroughly, with mistranslated errors and typos throughout the game in its User Interface and environment which can make it look unprofessional. I have also observed that when picking up a brand new weapon and saving after, the game removes it from your inventory completely making you go fetch it again after each time you save your game which can be very frustrating. Last but not least, in my lenses i think there should be at least more context on how your character got to the old mansion like an intro cut scene. I don't know if that's asking too much but it would make the game a more enjoyable, immersive experience. At last, I want to conclude this feedback/review of this game by stating that thank you for developing this game game and putting in the hard effort for being a one man team, and I hope my answers can give you good tips for improvement throughout the early access period. PS: I almost forgot about one thing, there is also a glitch on the main characters body where his holster/harness thing is flicking around and ca…
