I'm sorry, but the game has such a horrible UI. The upgrade system is top down, which feels so awkward and clunky. The game can't even unpause from esc while you're in the menu. If a secondary marker, like an X opens, you have to hit X on it before hitting resume. That's how clunky the game is. The gameplay is not rewarding in the slightest. You are actively punished for progressing in any direction. Constant selling and buying creates gaps in resources that only serves to remove you further from making progress on the normal difficulty. The RNG is not refreshing. The map bugs. Had my train drive into a mountain which made me need to quit the game just to keep playing. Also, I couldn't even meet the second demand of the game. 100 rations? Am I supposed to produce 100 rations or why can't I contribute my 250 plus rations I have now to meet that demand? Nope, you just have this annoying box over your screen for the entirety of your runs because even if you make enough food, it won't let you meet the demand. Captures a bleak mood, and the feeling of having to make tough personnel management decisions where you never have quite enough resources to satisfy everyone's needs at once. Frequently switching out train cars according to my current needs (sick people, seeds, food, research, housing, or specific materials) is thematic and satisfying. Expect a bit of jank in the UI, and possibly some bugs - I encountered a few.

Hello, I dont do many reviews; however, I am compelled to write a review. I have been watching the developer's blog, and overall seeing how this project goes. I like that there is a 10% discount on launch. However currently, for the content in the game needs to have more. Such as more events. Currently, I think the games price is a bit high, but I do not mind supporting indie developers. Plus this is the Dev's first game! Good job Dev if you are reading this. Moving forward, as I said the concept with turns is on the train is unique. I like it. No rush, and I can figure out my next steps. I like stations as you have to go back and claim resources. The events feel nice once you get to them. Overall the game is to survive, and to advance in Technology The technology tree is interesting; however my biggest problem I have is only a maximum of 9 Cars. You can only get 3 in the upgrade tree, and one is late game (Starting is 6). I find it hard to have only few train car spots, with so many other unique train cars in the game. Interesting and novel mechanics with moving the train/the storm clouds/adding population/managing train length. Some bugs and probably some balance issues, but it's a cool atmosphere and reasonably priced game. Basic graphics, but there is visual clarity and the game is decently tutorialized.
