Frostpunk 2

Trying to make a huge focus of the game be democratic voting and trying to maintain power in a literal apocalypse really throws the game off. "Oh no! Thousands of people just arrived, we need housing ASAP!" "Well... I'm gonna go ahead and protest holding off this entire housing block making things worse, because I don't like the fact you gave everyone free essentials and extra heating. Oh... they are freezing to death now? That's a shame, so about those free essentials... By the way, our protests just shutdown coal production so now everyone gets to freeze!" It really makes sense why everyone is always searching for a new city, they literally keep tearing them down over minor policy decisions. "Mandatory Schooling?! The AUDACITY! How DARE you... It should be Family Apprenticeship or nothing, now we gotta go a tear this whole place down and find a new home." Like really? People could literally be starving and be like "Well this sucks." But research and put the wrong policy in place? They would rather starve and freeze in the streets, literally.

This game is awesome, i do not understand the bad reviews.

One of the best citybuilders. Not only do you have to manage a city, you must also deal with political factions in the city, and take care of any colonies. Imagine a powerful storm which is called a whiteout with -180 degrees cold, food stores say 23 weeks left, fuel 20 weeks, materials 10 weeks, negative goods, multiple districts cold or chilly, generator overcharged till 97%. Try to survive! The entire game is so atmospheric. When whiteout comes, you can really feel the danger of it. The music choice for the storm, and the sound and visual effects of the storm really show this is a dangerous time. It is a magical feeling even though you and many of your people may perish. I like all of the music in this game. The sounds are well done, especially the announcer when anything major happens. The art cards along with their sounds that pop up for city events are good too, they serve to bring you inside the city and form a closer connection to your people. It's easy to lose track of time playing this. Its kind of like the Civilization games, you keep saying to yourself ok just let me do this first, then I'll exit the game. Next thing you know its 7 hours later. If there is ever a FP…

At first, I had a lot of problems with this game. Managing metropolis on frostland is so much different from the original experience of establishing new London. I have gave it a try and I did not liked it. After a year I decided to give this game another chance and at first I got same miserable experience. BUT I have dedicaited myself to at least finish main story. It was good. Then I played Utopia DLC and that was experience on another level. I finally felt the struggle of the original Frostpunk. Crisis after Crisis during a Crisis. The Plague that removes your workforce, increases tension and force you to redesign enitre economy just so you could produce vaccinees and distribute them during Whiteout? When the illiness got cured and Blizzard ended I got left with a stockpile of Oil for 1 day. Not a weak, day. Food for 1 weak, gang wars, protests and hope that I can maybe, just maybe pull it off. I did. THAT is why I recommend this game.

this is the best sequel ever made, i loved the first one as my favorite game ever and when this came out i preordered it. and i just beat the first dlc and it was great. 11 bit are the best game makers ever and they need to get 1000000000$ for making frostpunk
