About Fuchian Chronicles

“First contact never ends well for the less advanced civilization.”

In the hundred years since the Galactic Fuchian Empire began its interstellar expansion, it has always been the more advanced civilization. Now, for the first time, the Empire has encountered another spacefaring species on par with theirs. After a disastrous first contact, conflict between the two civilizations seems inevitable. Facing an uncertain future, Kimi, a young cadet in the Empire, must navigate the harsh realities of war.
- Ground and space combat: Fight on foot and command starships against enemies of the Empire.
- Skills and abilities based on equipment: Swap weapons and equipment for abilities that suit your needs, even in the heat of battle!
- Crafting on the go: Collect materials in the field or disassemble unwanted items and use the materials to craft various supplies as needed.
- Gear Customization: Modify your gear with various attachments for extra stats, elements, and even new abilities.
- No random encounters: The majority of combat encounters is represented on the map and can be avoided if you don’t want to fight them.
- Plan ahead: You will never be underleveled or overleveled for fights, so your victory depends on your ability to adapt to your enemies and how prepared you are. You can get minor stat gains and weapon proficiency from battles for an extra edge too.
- Choices matter: Your actions, and inaction, may affect the outcome of the story and lead to bonus rewards, or unexpected consequences.
- Standalone Demo: The demo is a standalone side story that takes place between Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of the main game. Playing it as well as the main game will give certain events additional context and meaning!
Fuchian Chronicles is a remake of my first game, Space Fox Kimi, which was originally released on Steam in 2018. I have learned a lot about game development since my first release, and wanted to update the game with new graphics, gameplay, and various other improvements before continuing with a sequel. Players who’ve played Space Fox Kimi will notice many similarities in the story with the original, but major story beats have been altered and there will be new plot points as well.

I sincerely hope you enjoy my game, and thank you for supporting me!

I don't really want to give this a negative cause Imo, it was more of a mixed bag, but given how many reviews for it are just 'yay, fox girls' I kinda feel like my feelings about the game are fairly negative by comparison so it oughta balance out in the end regardless so most of my feelings on this game are related to the story, but I guess that it'd be better to talk about the gameplay first since my feelings on that will be a little less agitating and politically charged for the poor folks reading this I play a fair few rpgs like this each year and understand that people's preferences for them can vary a lot, but personally I think it is mostly true that for the majority of players to enjoy your turn based rpg, you need to strike a good balance between sections of the game where you walk around and talk to folks, and sections where you do combat (and ideally, you should maybe aim to have a balance that slightly favours walking around and talking, but that's just my preference) if you do too much of one or the other, things get extremely fatiguing, and that was very much the case with my playthrough of this. it's not super bad at the start of the game, but as you go through it,…

Fuchian Chronicles has a great story told through great characters in a world setting that is very fleshed out. I highly recommend this game if your interested in a fun, fleshed out RPG experience in space with both ground and space battles. RPG maker games are often looked down upon however Fuchian Chronicles is one game that shows no matter the engine, a game when developed by a passionate creator can overcome such short sighted views.

Played what I think can be considered the second mission plus a bit extra and so far I'm enjoying it well enough. The story is intriguing, you play as an indoctrinated child soldier named Kimi in an evil empire of fox people. You deploy on a training mission to go do evil empire things on a native world when things go awry and Kimi must step up to an unexpected challenge to survive. The game features a lot of systems which seem well though out though the space combat doesn't seem to take advantage of these systems quite as well as the ground combat. The like the scifi environment and the mapping looks good, though additional visual queues could be added to make it clear which doors on the ship are accessible and which are blocked off until later in the game. There are a number of points where interacting with the environment feels rewarding which is good. I would tentatively recommend this game for those that are looking for something in the RM style but with a scifi world.

WOOOOAH! Alright. that was a good adventrue, and i really hoping for the second part of the story to come! so yeah. story is decent, i like it just as much as some diologs between characters. VIsuals looks lovly, desighns are cool, space foxes are the best (but space bunnys are too). gamplay... well. i'm not a fun of a RPGmaker style games in terms of gamplay, but this one was decent and quite fair. Well on foot it is, becous space battles a way harder then foot one. and yes i hate RNG, but well, game is too good for it to really spoil it. all in all, great game for an evneng or three, with a place for improving a pacing and some balbance for the price less then a bread. All hail Kimi the fox!

A very nice budget title, that has been fun to play so far. Very reasonable price, and lots of cool features.
