Outstanding game. The level of detail is quite unbelievable. Yes it has faults, but updates are frequent and issues are rectified almost immediately. Needs some consistancy on horses/favourites/markets. Also needs Xbox controller display fixed (currently shows button options for Playstation). It would be good to favourite horses you ride that aren't your own so you can request to ride future races. Also please fix the replay camera so you can watch the race from the stands.2 found this helpful
In general, the idea of playing jockey is brilliant, however, some of the game settings are really required huge improvement to make it feel realistic. I think the good part is as a jockey, if you can't find a good position for the last 400 to sprint, you really get blocked by other NPC horses. That's really match the reality. ( I just edit my review from Yes to No due to pt5) Improvement areas: 1. It seems "skills" part is totally rubbish, buying that with 100,000 points but only act as a filter to make sure you can ride certain horses with frontrunner/ mid-side/ fall-back. Without any 'plus' factors, I don't think it is worth to make a "skills" part for that. 2. Horses are genuinely without a random ability, seems like every horse in maiden, 1/2 win classes are having same ability. At last 400, if you pace well, most of them just run like as if they lost their legs and power, fall back behind A LOT compared to player's horse. That's not realistic at all. 3. I think the most unhappy part for myself, which finds so much frustration, is that you can numbers of front runner or pacemaker in a match, and you try to fight for position. Really fun game. Excited for future updates and expansions.
great horse racing sim. not much challenge in the beginning but once you get to G3+ races it becomes very challenging. Historical horses become available to buy every year which is a nice touch. love it. The dev is very active and is releasing patches very frequently, also has feature updates planned for the future.
