Galactic Overthrow is a compact blend of idle mechanics and space strategy that proves you do not need a massive budget or countless systems to create an engaging galactic conquest experience. Developed and published by Ace High Arcade, the game invites players to establish a fledgling interstellar civilization and gradually transform it into a dominant force across the stars. By combining empire management, technological progression, and repeatable galaxy resets, it delivers a gameplay loop that is immediately familiar to fans of incremental titles while retaining enough strategic flavor to distinguish itself from standard idle experiences. At its core, the game revolves around conquering planets, gathering resources, and unlocking technologies that strengthen your empire. Every decision contributes to a larger sense of progression, whether it is selecting the next world to invade or investing in upgrades that improve production efficiency. Galactic Overthrow embraces the philosophy that steady advancement is inherently rewarding, and it capitalizes on that concept exceptionally well. Watching your civilization evolve from modest beginnings into a sprawling galactic power creates…

It's just.... kind of nothing

An average, simple, short 4-hour idle game with limited replay ability. Marginal thumbs up.

Short but sweet.

Fun, little idle clicker and sandbox game. Dev could probably pick a direction for further development. Keep it as an idle game with relatively low complexity? Maybe. Develop it into something more complex to feel more like a simplified 4X game with more depth than a general idler? Maybe. Offer more complex modes and means of playing? That'd be more my jam. As it stands right now, it seems impossible to fail, so treat the game as a sandbox to try different races and some different approaches to progression through each run. Some things that I'd love to see in here -- a little more control within the automation options. Like I wish you could set up the auto-conquer to prioritize strongest planets or planets closest to attacking instead of just being limited to targeting the weakest option. And the auto option for trade could be further streamlined. Just felt like I was trying to click around a lot when shedding some excess resources even with auto help. The auto wouldn't line up neatly with eligible trades at times (especially anything involving research). Values on building stats and what not felt a little arbitrary. Main thing you need to know is that... Numbers go up! And …

Great game, not that much complexity but chill and satisfying experience. The biggest bonus: The dev nearly releases patches on a regular basis. I dont have that much time sunk into the game yet but its gameplay loop is nice and calm. Im on my 3rd jump. There was a (for me) gamebreaking bug which caused the map to partly disappear, 4 days after reporting it was fixed.
