To become Empress, you must win over a majority of the thirty Electors scattered around the Empire. Travel to their locations and try to earn their favor by making political promises, carrying out quests, offering them positions in your cabinet, or even promising marriage. Every Elector has their own allies and enemies, so you must choose strategically which characters to court and which to ignore. Supporting one faction may make another turn against you.Keep your eyes open - your fellow nobles are backstabbing schemers who wouldn't hesitate to assassinate an adolescent girl for their own benefit. Posting a negative review in case you are looking for critiques. Overall I did mostly enjoy my time with this game. I'm not too versed with the genre but I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is my favorite game I played this year so far and I was excited to try more in the genre. I really liked the gameplay mechanics and the choices in this game, but my biggest issue comes from how many "death" states there are. There are so many pass/fail stat checks and its very difficult/impossible to predict when or which ones will show up, even after several runs. The worst part is, you can enter situations where there is literally no way out, you just die no matter what because you didn't put 5 extra points into tumbling and were a fool and put them in stealth instead. With no way to redistribute stat points and only being able to boost two per round, and with other caveats as well, it made for a lot of feel bad moments. One time I was literally one turn away from the final turn and I had not one but TWO separate mood checks that were assassination attempts, both of which I didn't have the "correct" stats upgraded for. After 7 or 8 runs I had only reached the final election once, and …1 found this helpful
Addicting gameplay loop just like their previous title "Long Live The Queen". It's also a good game to play if your attention doesn't need to be entirely on it. Not that I play this while I'm at work, or anything. Nope...1 found this helpful
Wonderful game! I got this a part of the Princess Pack with Long Live the Queen. And I know a lot of people prefer LLTQ due to nostalgia, but this one is incredible. I obsessively played this for hours not moving from my chair, which had not happened to me in a long time. I typically don't like "sci-fi" themed games, but I quickly got over it with how good the story is.
Fun stat raising, rich story & lore
A charming fun life-sim
A very complex game. It might be quite straight forward at first, but depending on the routes you take or skills you train, you might encounter surprising changes. I might need to use a guide to find the true ending, but overall the game is very fun. A worthy sequel to Long Live the Queen.
