Game Dev Fantasy has an incredibly beautiful visual style. The opening cinematic is the most incredible cinematic I've ever seen in a game. The hand drawn style of the actual game is also very pleasing to look at. The audio design and voice acting is great as well. I also found the references to other games to be enjoyable. Another thing that stood out was the detailed writing for the opening and for each card. Sadly, that's where my praise ends. The game is just not very fun to play. I was very hopeful as I wishlisted this game before release. It is possible that I might just not understand the gameplay, but I didn't find it enjoyable at all. It's a great concept, but I think it could be executed better. I wish I could recommend this game, but sadly I cannot.
