Ghost Master: Resurrection

One of my all time favourite games brought back to life and with new levels what more can a giant kid want

Very happy with the updated content as well as the original game which I have been in love with for over 20 years.

UE5 really does not do Ghost Master any favors - My graphic card is reaching 80°C while the graphics are basically same as 20 years ago, just with better resolution and upscaled textures. I managed to somehow softlock the last mission of Act 3 at least 5 times, in 3 completely different ways. The game is noticably easier than the original thanks to some AI fixes. Newly introduced passive and global active skills for the ghost master are making it even too easy. I'd probably forgive all of the above if not for AI usage. The game works fine (when it doesnt bug out), sounds well and it's mostly as fun as in my childhood. But it's better to just get the original which is also available on steam for 1/4th of the price of Ressurection - and then slap some mods onto it.

As a fan of the original, I was thrilled to dive into *Ghost Master: Resurrection*, and I'm happy to say it doesn't disappoint. This remastered version fixes many of the bugs that made certain missions frustrating in the original, while the enhanced visuals help the game shine on modern hardware. I actually discovered the original *Ghost Master* by chance at a thrift store, complete in its original box. I'll admit, a title like *Ghost Master* made me skeptical at first, but it quickly became one of those hidden gems I couldn't believe I'd overlooked. The gameplay reminds me of *Haunting Starring Polterguy* on the Sega Genesis, while the art style and atmosphere evoke *The Sims: Bustin' Out*. The result is a delightfully spooky world that's equal parts strategy, humor, and nostalgia. As the Ghost Master, your job is to recruit and command a variety of unique ghosts, each with their own supernatural abilities, to complete a series of increasingly creative missions. Success isn't just about causing chaos; you'll need to think strategically, combining different hauntings to frighten specific characters and accomplish multiple objectives. The bad: Graphics can't handle full screen all too well. every time I start up the game I have to fix getting it to full screen. Can't save the settings and it's just a random stroke of luck to get it right. Can even crash my pc... So this is ALWAYS a hastle. good thing I like this game right? Overpriced DLC season pass.... this was revived just to get your money. You think "omg new levels". And yes while there are indeed new levels, you smack your face on a paywall block. Only going to get that pass if it's 5 euro's or less. effects and stuff are missing (gone?). I remember that blood used to be in the game when a ghost split himself open. That seems to be completely gone, nor is there a setting for "gore" or anything. AI upscaling is hardly what I'd call remasterd.
