it's that good type of Game Freak jank where yeah the death might not be your fault or the graphics may not be on point but it's fun af in spite of it

could have bee great, honestly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ though. creative and cool settings and characters but everythin is predictable and cliche, puzzles are way too finnicky and precise while seemingly randomly working

The puzzles can get confusing. Help is impossible online because it's such a niche game. Turns out there's an ALT version for consoles that can provide hints. Took me a bit to finish through it and sometimes had to reference a video of someone else playing the console version. When you solve it the game is fun but between those long moments it's a frustrating experience. The audio is terrible in this game and I had to play muted to silence the constant humming of spinning blades. Half-way through I felt like I was just playing to get it over with and wish I was playing something else.

I kept seeing the collectors edition of this game for £99 and wondering to myself “Should I get it?”. I mean it’s Game Freak of Pokemon fame, surely they would make a really decent puzzle game with that art style looking pretty decent from the box art right? Then I saw it on steam for less than £2 and thought at that price, why not! Then I payed it, and thank god I didn’t get that collectors edition. This is a game so cheaply made, I’ve played flash games with better animation back in the early 00’s. The animations are choppy, the story is beyond boring, the characters have no life outside of some really bad dialogue, the game play is tedious, the setting is just drab, and the bosses are just tired old repeats of other better games. I’ll give the game credit where it’s due, the puzzles can sometimes be pretty good and challenging, but the physics to solve them are absolutely frustrating and at times broken. The enemies too, just the most generic and boring looking things you could get in a game. Overall save your money and buy a better Metroidvania game out there, or a better puzzle game. Honestly disappointed, especially with it being made by Game Freak, you know the most expe…

Giga Wrecker is a creative 2D action game with a standout physics-based destruction system. Smashing the environment and rebuilding debris into weapons or tools feels fresh and satisfying. The metroidvania-lite progression keeps exploration focused, and the art style is charming. Downsides: some platforming sections can be frustrating, and the controls feel a bit clunky at times. Still, it’s a unique and memorable experience overall.
