GLADIMAKER : Auto Battle RPG

Its fine. Competent enough translation, there's some story elements with a Skip option, and the game wants to tutorialize you regardless of prior play history. The strategy involved doesn't seem particularly deep as long as you're able to identify how to get ahead on the scaling curve, and you will "win" the run eventually regardless, though there's a "true ending" for clearing within 30 turns which allows for you to fail your advancement around 25% of the time and still get it. Which is what happened in my first run. Accessibility options are limited. There is no getting around the screenshake during battles, and the resolution caps at 1080p, so I recommend either playing Windowed or using Lossless Scaling for larger resolutions, since the in-game scaling for Fullscreen isn't great. I didn't personally run into issues related to being red-green colorblind. Despite the above, its still a fun game, and one priced reasonably for the content on offer. Aside from trying to force other playstyles or max bond with different instructors for optional story scenes, there's not a lot of replay value here, but for the $7 USD price discounted on launch, that's okay.

First off i want to say i love this game and am excited for future updates. I have played through twice. The core loop is fun. I felt the dialogue got in the way and would keep me from replaying often, that being said i would love to see a more streamlined version in something like an arcade mode to keep playing and trying new builds.

a bit short but fun

It's a fun little game. Not particularly long, but has a lot of room for build variety to make trying different play styles a lot of fun. I just got the true ending, and I already want to start up another run to try a run focusing on different stats instead, and I think that's the best compliment a game can get. It's easily worth the time and money spent if you enjoy auto battlers. Edit: I forgot to add in the review that the game does a good job of putting a system in play, and then expanding on it later on, and thus has a really nice progression system. Mostly just adding this to let the devs know they did a good job on that!

The whole auto-battle pov thing is so peak. 10/10 make more pls
