About God Within VR
God Within VR is a Soulslike VR action game focused on reading enemy moves and true-to-motion melee. Wield your family blade and step into the ruined land of Viseran; every swing, block, and parry is driven by your real actions. Each time you fall, the nearest Anchor pulls you back—at a cost—so you can press on.
Core Features
• True VR combat: directional blocking/parries and a stagger → stun → execution loop that rewards timing and rhythm
• Multi-phase bosses: forms and moves evolve across phases—every fight is a life-or-death trial
• Physics-driven feel: swap between melee, ranged, and magic; impactful collisions and ragdolls amplify hit feedback
• Exploration & puzzles: ancient mechanisms and fragmented clues, with shortcuts and hidden routes to discover
• Lore & choices: decisions around the “Return Mark” carry consequences that shape your journey and endings
Who It’s For
Players who enjoy Soulslike pacing and the learn–overcome–master arc; VR users who want strong interaction and punchy hit feedback.

We got Grimlord at home.... it's definitely in earl access it has potential but i only time will tell. as of now the game seriously lacks content it can be finished within a couple of hours here is my review with gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvhbFChFi5o1 found this helpful
God Within VR is a great VR game. Despite being in development and having a few bug, the game's potential is outstanding, as it is much like Battle Talent with more story-based content. With a unique (but unfinished as far as I know) storyline that kept me hooked for the time I have been playing it, combined with good UI design, it's impossible to overlook the (SOLO!!) developer's time and effort that they put into this. If you like Battle Talent or Dark Souls, then this game is for you. 9.5/10, highly recommend.1 found this helpful
The potential this game has is amazing. For it being early access, it is amazing. Other games should take a lesson from these developers. With the stunning graphics, and a great price anyone who enjoys swordplay VR games would be a fool to not pick up this title. Is it as polished as Grimlord? Not even close. Is it wonkey and a bit hard to play at the moment? Absolutely. Does it measure up to any swordplay VR game on the market today? No. That being said, I believe this dev team will deliver a wonderful, immersive, and flowing game.1 found this helpful
The casual dungeon massacre version. so far it is a progressive project, very interesting looking potential for RPG reminiscent of old d&d or death trap dungeon-esk exploration adventure. The art for me stands out alot the huge tortured souls in towering backdrops, skulls, bowl smoking stone monks }:), demonic loading screens, interesting voiced characters, bosses, missions, good tracking, Attack and counter work well, dual wield is DAM good! the scenery is never dull! iam starting to like this game alot! new elements are being added and tweaked. It seems to me that the creation of this game is coming from a place that wants to make something amazing if it was about the money it would be made and left this is a real labour of love but I cant vote for it ..why?? (hey steam lets include the indie devs too huh!!) End. full review of chapter 1. So initially i had some issues with this game and controller support so my xp was limited to punching the dermal challenged enemies, I asked for help from the dev.. He informed me it was the controller then that he was trying to interrogate this type, i offered to help test it, at this point i realised dev is A 1man army as in a day or so a tes…1 found this helpful
I think this game has potential. It needs controller offset settings. Currently with the quest pro, my weapon is about 35 degrees forward from my controller grip angle. If I could adjust the angle, I would have a lot of fun playing this game.1 found this helpful
Only VR game I've played from Steam that opens in Desktop mode, unless I have SteamVR open first and open it there. It was also the only game that then needed SteamVR's motion smoothing turned off, and gave me a splitting migraine which I rarely get from VR after years of using them. See plenty of people enjoying it, but it took way too long to get set up, after it's sat in my library for years, just to get a headache and not even finish the tutorial because the voice was grating, too slow movement, and felt nothing like the videos at all. Just don't feel like recommending it.
