they had us in the first half not gonna lie but really such a good game depicting a struggle most if not all creatives go through.

It's more of an experience than a game as a majority of the game is just cutscenes of 2 friends creating an indie game while struggling to make a successful game and this is where the game really shines for me. It captures the anxiety of failing, the pain of your passions being rejected, the emotional acceptance that your art will not sell and you have to face the fact that you need to work a menial job in order to make ends meet. It's a short experience but I thought it was done beautifully and definitely captures the indie vibe. The music was really well done to especially the title song and the credits theme. The graphics were very reminiscent to Eastward and Mother which to me is great but at times the color pallet made it feel very blurry. I think this was intentional as most of the game is told through memories. There is a game part and that is through a Game Boy-esque puzzle platformer that feels very janky to control but it's a good janky to me. You play as a rabbit and you collect blocks and a key to make it to the end of a level. It's not too difficult to pick up in the beginning but the levels do get more difficult as it goes on. This is definitely a story game. Don't play if you don't like visual novels. The story is super cute though and really explores these two characters well. Made me tear up quite a bit.

Sweet story about the distance between passion projects and professionalism. I've felt that in all my serious jobs, and I'm feeling it now. Easy to finish in one sitting.
