It's a hard one to review for me. I loved the Demo and the dev was really cool about feedback and adding features into the final game. Now that I played the full game, I can confirm that the first four or five levels, one of which was the demo, are entertaining and breezy and relaxing, they're really a joy. You get to traverse with the grapple, which gives you access to remote areas and let's be honest, zipping around is just really fun. Unfortunately it feels like the game runs away from itself from that point on. The mechanics that were so fun are left behind (the grappling basically disappears) for a sort of floating camera first person platforming. you can't see where you are positioned exactly and you have to execute series of jumps that are increasingly difficult and precise and leaves you starting over if you fail. I pushed on because I wanted to get to the end and I was hoping to find that sense of fun again but it was a struggle and I would have loved the last levels to be closer to the core of the game. This being said, I recommend the game because it's well made. If you enjoy first person platforming, the grappling will add something cool to it. Just because it's not…2 found this helpful

GRAPPIN delivers a fun and well designed first person platforming experience built around a satisfying grappling mechanic. Movement feels smooth, exploration is rewarding and the level design encourages curiosity without becoming frustrating. The game combines light puzzle elements with vertical traversal and creates a relaxing atmosphere through its visuals and soundtrack. While it’s a shorter experience, it stays focused and makes good use of its core concept from start to finish. A solid indie title for players who enjoy exploration, platforming and movement based gameplay.1 found this helpful
Short but fun game. Mostly platforming your way through levels. Finding all the relics does make the game a lot more enjoyable.1 found this helpful
Got a game-breaking bug at the end; at one point it removes your jump ability. However, after it removed this jump ability of mine, it bugged my game and brought me to a section outside of the map. In order to get back to the correct level, I had to go back to the main menu and then click 'Continue'. Upon doing this, it brought me back to an earlier section of the game where I still need my jump ability, but my jump's permanently disabled. I couldn't find any other way to progress again, and I'd have to restart the whole game just to attempt to finish it again, and just simply hope I don't run into the game-breaking bug again. Completely soured my whole experience. Can't recommend the game because of this. edit: Turns out uninstalling the game and then re-installing it fixes the bug. While closing/quitting the game and re-opening it didn't fix the bug, uninstalling and re-installing ended up fixing my save and it lets me jump again. I was able to finish the rest of the game not long after. I only found out because the developer responded and wanted to help me fix my bugged save; I reinstalled it so I could grab my save and send it over but it fixed itself upon re-installing. Re…
Last few levels are an absolute drag, i enjoyed the grapping alot and then i got into the laser levels. I feel like they add nothing but frustration sadly. Then i enterd the lost town/village level and its so much different then the start of the g ame which i liked so much. I think if you could have made more of those levels and made them fun and challenging i would loved it alot more.
