♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Dev promised a free remake 3 years ago due to the poor reception. Didn't expect him to deliver...and he didn't. Do not buy.

Really bad controles, the could have been programmed by a 3 year old. The Checkpoints seemed bad placed sometimes and the story was not interesting at all.

Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story is a science-fiction survival adventure that attempts to bring the terrifying atmosphere of H.G. Wells’ legendary invasion tale into an interactive format. *Higly* recommended, *BUT only* if you can apply C.E. cheats I post below: Starts poorly the prologue and first farm level, then gets surprisingly, almost epic. Keeps getting better and most interesting all the time, to some stellar moments, to my great satisfaction at the end. It's stealth, not my thing. I recommend as I played with C.E. as a 3rd person bomber: bombed the heck out of foes with Rubber Bombs. Plus health galore, as some levels are difficult. But one with tripods in particular is directly impassable otherwise I believe (turn green 4 laptops). And the following one is worse in difficulty. Fixes: The menu has problems, from menu to submenu some keys or left mouse stop working and must guess and use others. Even in the same menu, some items respond others not. Trick workaround, works the most: Tab encloses items in a rectangle, space implements. Sometimes you have to try other keys. But after that didn't have problems. Just a couple times in all the game the keyboard borked, just quit and reloaded. Once with the sound, same fix. Don't get why they didn't take the trouble to fix this, as the game has the *exact* same mechanics of their much more polished, and …

I'm trying to start making more reviews here so I thought this would be a good chance to make a review. I did not like this game, it was mediocre at best. And truthfully its hard to get me to not like a game. My main problems with it where as follows. 1: the checkpoint system in the game is bad, like real bad, spend 30 minutes moving through an area to get killed and sent all the way to the start bad. 2: the prompt that tells you what you should be doing is not helpful and often lags behind what your actually supposed to be doing. 3: getting stuck on a curb that is a two inch tall is a little annoying especial when your being chased. 4: the enemy ai is not good and a little frustrating to deal with. 5: game play is a little to clunky. 6: i have no idea why but running this game turns my computer into fire belching jet engine, and my computer has played a lot more intense games than this without a problem. I don't think i could recommend this game even on sale its jest not worth it in my opinion. That said this is the developers first game so its bound to be a bit ehh. But after looking into them it seams that they have made three other games since this one. I'm at least …

The game is fun if but a little wonky. The ability to throw isn't always responsive and the enemy AI is pretty much brain dead. They will run after you for awhile and then just stop as if they are unsure of where you are, even though you're five feet away. The graphics are nice and I do enjoy the stealth aspect and the overall ambience. I even like how a melancholy song will play in the background until you finish a scene. It's actually pretty cool. It's a good game if but a little flawed and the checkpoints are a little frustrating as you will have to play large enough sections over again when you are killed. All in all, I liked it and for the most part disagree with the negative reviews. I did get a little nauseous playing because of the camera, but i got over it eventually. 7 out of 10 for me.
