[strike]The most unrealistic aspect about this story is the amount of students who willingly visit school outside of lesson hours. I'd rather believe in ghosts than that. [/strike] A decent VN about...surviving school...that's filled with ghosts! I found it fairly entertaining, there's many bad endings and some solid creepy moments. I really enjoyed the horror art and ghost designs, especially how they got implemented in those QTE investigations. Moreover, I can praise the expressive character sprites. The writing generally feels rather amateurish, but the plot reminds me of the type of horror stories I used to love in my childhood, so it felt somewhat nostalgic. Besides, I liked how the plot actually goes deeper than it seems. I believe the choice mechanics could've been more creative, though; it would've been interesting to see some meaningful story-branching that goes beyond "dead-end or continue" and slight dialogue variation. Altogether it's a fun game for the horror scenes, although I wouldn't consider the story itself particularly memorable. However I definitely see the potential in this game studio!

Think of the visual novel Corpse Party's, like Book of Shadows A little rudimentary of what people expect from a ghost story, but held afloat by well illustrated bad ends

Decent visual novel. Kind of similar to Corpse Party, but not nearly as graphic and the choices don't matter that much. Not trying to be either, to be fair. If you do play, save before (or at) every choice, right click is your friend. 100%-ing the game can be a bit of a pain. Even the choices that don't matter do contribute to 100% and each search has multiple outcomes. EACH OF THEM.

Aside from a few minor issues, the game is pretty well done and the art is good, but the narrative and the character interactions are uninteresting. The main story is too cliche. The jumpscares are pretty cheap and predictable too. Also, the story is absolutely linear, which is fine, but I was expecting at least two different endings that were not game overs. That said, it seems this is this studio's first published game, so I'd buy their next game to see if they improved. They seem dedicated enough.
