Habroxia 2

After finishing the first Habroxia I was excited to get my hands on the sequel. Well having played it for 7 hours, the game has left me with mixed feelings... The good + The directional shooting is a great upgrade from the first game + The level design is good with beautiful environments + The graphics are amazing + The special weapons are fun and have good variety + Boost rush mode was actually fairly challenging The bad - A lot of bosses are recyled from the first game - Only one main weapon type - No ability to remap controls (Why? In the first one you could change them) - Does get a bit repetetive after some time (especially if grinding for 100% completion) Habroxia 2 isn't a "must play" game, but it's still a decent bit of fun that's gonna keep you entertained for a couple of hours.

This sequel is a huge step up from the last game. If you liked Habroxia 1 this one will do it for ya.

This is one of those games thats really awesome, and that i found myself legitimately enjoying, just to fall short..... literally. + The pixel art was really good, I can tell a lot of work was put into it. Every movement and action is animated super well + the game is super fun, clearing wave after wave of enemies is immensely satisfying + the music is solid, it fits the game really well - I found options to change controls, but i couldnt find any way to bind specials to Q and E, ability to shift, and shooting to arrow keys, which meant i had to spend a bit of time adjusting to UHJK. - the weapons felt fairly unbalanced, with cutter being godlike compared to just about everything else, especially because missiles seemed bugged in that only one would shoot out max if the fight was sideways (or vertical.... i forgot which one) + the plot and logs are actually not bad, they flesh out the game quite a bit. - the game is very expensive, it costs 3$ per hour in short, this is a really solid game, but in a market full of top down and/or side scrolling shooters, it is not worth paying the premium for this one.

One of the most replayable shoot em ups I’ve ever enjoyed. The first was fantastic but Habroxia 2 kicks the franchise into a whole new gear. One of my favorite aspects of the game is how it can appeal to both shmup purists and players who like their shooters more modern. Really hoping for a third in the series…. I know Lillymo are about to release their next game (which also looks great) so maybe Habroxia 3 can be the team’s next project after the dust settles for that one. A boy can dream!

Good looking retro game, not that much variety, game-play is smooth and fun, story is ok but whatever, improved greatly on the first one, short and sweet

Really cool sidescrolling shooter with persistent progress in the form of upgrade purchases between missions. Very nice pixel art & solid gameplay. The optional twinstick controls (also the default) add a unique twist compared to other sidescrolling shooters.
