HAMMY is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Super Monkey Ball (Copyright Sega/Amusement Vision, 2001). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. At this stage no legal action has been taken by Sega/Amusement Vision against the "developer" here, but it's never off the table, as previous copyright law cases have shown. Putting aside the unethical intellectual bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept for profit, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. HAMMY is considerably worse than Super Monkey Ball. The monkey has been replaced with a low poly hamster, and the developer was so lazy/inept, they couldn't work out how to properly animate the hamster so it just blinks forwards and backwards like it's on a binary see-saw... it's incredibly lazy garbage. Hard not to compare it to other, more popular, primate-based games in the same genre, but Hammy is pretty fun, at least as long as you enjoyed the track-based obstacle courses of the aforementioned-yet-unnamed primate-based game in this same genre. This game saved my family. Let me expalin. When I was a wee lad we were broke, no clothes, no food, no water, and just nothing until one day a man gifted me hammy. I grinded the game and entered a hammy tournament. I won the grand prize of 1,00,000 USD. PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME.1 found this helpful
This game saved my life. When I was a tad tot my parents got into a car crash and right after their demise i found a PC in an alleyway. No sign in, No homescreen, just hammy. After collecting 1000 gems my parents rose from the dead. No injury. Love Hammy.
