About Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos
Explore the Amazing World of Anthos!
The land of Anthos was a peaceful and harmonious land watched over by the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, who protected the inhabitants of Anthos from natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, and the like.
However, one day many years ago, Anthos experienced a severe volcanic eruption that threatened life on Anthos itself, and the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites had to use all of their remaining power to keep the people and animals of Anthos safe. This left the different villages across the land blocked off from each other. Some unfortunate souls even got trapped outside their villages, and were unable to return...
Believing that the separated villages and people would one day be reconnected, the Harvest Goddess sent out a bottle with a letter and a magic key, then fell into a deep sleep...
Now, 10 years later, you have found the SOS the Harvest Goddess sent to the world in the form of a message in a bottle! With the help of your wacky inventor friend Doc Jr. and many others, it’ll be up to you to revive the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, as well as reconnect all of the villages of Anthos with each other!
• Farm all around Anthos using Doc’s new and improved Expando-Farm! Easily move from place to place and farm everywhere from snowy mountains to beautiful beaches!

this little game is simply amazing and super cute. besides the adorable and colorful graphics, its a very casual game while also having a ton of content and sooo much to do, the map is huge and the activities are endless!! everything starts like a normal farming game, planting crops and taking care of your plants, but as you progress through the story you realize just how much there is to do and unlock. you can even walk around in nature petting animals and feeding them until you earn their trust and have them as pets and you can also ride horses, fish, train your pets, take part in competitions, run your own little shop, have a family and children... its a complete and really fun game. the only thing worth mentioning is that its controller only, so no mouse and keyboard in this case sugar!!24 found this helpful
*EDIT* *I forgot to mention, when looking at the DLC for the game, you will notice that features that should be in the BASE GAME are being sold as DLC here, to make an extra buck I guess, such as the increased tool level, which, while not required, is something that is ALWAYS in the base game for farming games like this.* so, to start, I WILL continue playing this, but that is really only because I already own the game, and obviously cannot refund it. if you are thinking about purchasing this, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! not even on a sale, not even for 90% off...... while that sounds extreme, I will explain why below. I have not noticed any bugs or technical issues with the game, beyond the fact that options are almost non-existent, really only being audio, and if you want full screen.... the story, as others already point out, is nonsensical and silly, but that's not entirely a bad thing honestly, and the characters, while extremely one dimensional and offering little to no personality, aren't really bad either, and are nice to look at. But, for gods sake, do NOT believe any other reviews saying "it takes me back to Harvest Moon 64...." or any nonsense like that. the game is de…14 found this helpful
This game is full of technical issues. Ever since the start, the game contantly crashes on me (I even hav to redo the tutorial a couple of times). I managed to get past the tutorial eventually but now the game crashes on a daily basis (often multiple times per day) which makes gameplay repetitive and tiresome. My computer meets and exceeds the minimum requirements listed by Steam to run the game so the game should run just fine...but it doesn't. Crashes occur randomly, without reason, often during cutscenes where you can't save. My biggest issue is the ending of the game. I cannot finish the game since there are multiple cutscenes (that you cannot save while they're running) and my game consistently crashes during these cutscenes. I have tried to run through the cutscenes multiple times (at least 8 times now, I've tried), and each attempt was met with a crash at a different point during these cutscenes. I'm the type of gamer that likes to finish a game as much as I can, trying to collect all the achievements. Having this game in my library is a stain on my played games record as there are many achievements I am missing that I know I am capable of completing if the game …2 found this helpful
The magic is gone, but this is a great reference point for future games. This does not feel anything like harvest moon. It looks like a test run for a Legend of Zelda game. The open world is nice, so vast yet feels so empty. The characters are many but soul less. They are poorly written. Please invest on good writers. Character design is so lame too, they all look a like. Assets from this game seemed to be recycled and used for Home sweet home. HSH is short yet it it is a whole lot better than WOA. Don’t waste your money on this, wait for the next game echoes of something. This game feels like a trial run and experiement for the next game2 found this helpful
If you are looking for a chill kinda game with calm scenery this is the game. Sometimes I just want to grow plants and pet animals. The story is much the same as any other harvest moon but on the visual side everything is much more rich with color. I have played almost all of the harvest moon games and this one takes first place in size and immersion but I do miss the old cooking where you could experiment and fail, the whole just get the ingredients and choose the dish is too simple.1 found this helpful
Very slow start but hang in there, it won't be too long before you get a horse and then unlock fast travel. Pros: Bonding & taming with so many cool wild animals (wolves, bears, owls, foxes, zebras, etc). Lots of cool exploration in a big and diverse map. Cute storyline. Cozy. Cons: SUPER grindy in every sense. Endless repeat quests (the villagers will never stop asking for the same things over and over again). You can't complete all the steam achievements unless you buy the DLCs (only a con for completionists).
