Healer's Quest

everything is very nice in this game, except for the combat. and the game throws enemies at you literally every 10 or so seconds which feels like an attempt to artificially inflate the playtime but it wouldn't be an issue if combat felt fun. even on normal the combat starts to feel too frantic, tedious, and random very quickly. the game gives you a wide variety of spells and an expansive skill tree but some spells are obviously less useful or practical compared to other ones (at least when un-upgraded; and upgrading even a single spell to a meaningful degree requires an unexpectedly insane amount of grind, despite overabundance of combat, because leveling up is just so slow). you can only equip 4 spells at a time, yet it always felt like you absolutely must sacrifice one slot for smth that restores your mana and another slot for the status effect removal spell because those are applied by most enemies constantly, so effectively you only have around 2 slots to experiment with which is very limiting and frustrating. you can also simply cast taunt + shield on your tank and mainly heal him, and while this makes combat a little easier and less random but it's very unsatisfying that you…

A fun and hand crafted little game with silly humor. You are the underappreciated healer of an RPG adventuring party on silly quests which often go sideways. All mechanics are simple and you have little control of how your party equips, except for a few weapons and rings. The healer, who is you, can equip bracelets and spells and each spell has an intrincated evolution tree which is slowly unlocked thorugh stars, which you earn every level. You cannot upgrade every single spell, so you'll have to think of your playstyle to choose what best suits you: healing powerhouse, buffing powerhouse or something somewhere in-between, which adds to the replay value. All in all it's fun and will keep you entertained for a few hours.

I have not gotten very far in this game but I am really disappointed. I really do like the mechanics but the humor is just really bad. It's very lowbrow and honestly is some ways offensive. It's just gross overdone and boring on top of all of that.

Fun little game with a decent amount of different playstyles. Only really had two gripes with it: Respecing requires you to go to a specific location and spend some gold. It became quite tedious navigating the overworld when you're thrown into a random encounter every 5 second.
