I don't usually write reviews this long. Actually, that's a lie. I write walls of text whenever a game manages to occupy my thoughts long after I close it, and Heatwave: Sam's Stay absolutely deserves one. For context, I'm an unapologetic fanatic when it comes to M/M visual novels. I've played everything from obscure indie projects with ten reviews to genre-defining classics. I've seen every cliché imaginable. The mysterious muscular stranger. The "I'm definitely straight bro" character. The summer romance. The secret attraction. The awkward self-discovery arc. The dramatic confession under a sunset. At this point, it takes a lot to impress me. Heatwave managed to do it. And surprisingly, it did so while my boyfriend sat next to me for most of the playthrough. That ended up making the experience even better. There is something incredibly entertaining about playing a game centered around attraction, desire, emotional confusion, and self-discovery while another gay man is sitting beside you constantly commenting on every character. Every ten minutes one of us would point at the screen and say: "He's definitely hiding something." "No way." "He's absolutely into him." "You…5 found this helpful
This game was sooooo great at first i had a second thought before buying it because I’ve never bought this kind of game before but thank god. If you look for a good time, buy this one, you’ll never regret it. There are special pieces in the game to collect to and also a rewatch system of those sexy scenes so you don’t have to play it all over again. SO RECOMMEND1 found this helpful

Really nice game, with some collecting, some more story to unfold in the next Chapters/Sequels, leaving it open more possibilities with the same cast/hot men, while keeping things nice. The beginning is a bit clunky to get along with the voices, but quick enough you get used to it and deep inside the game. For this genre, i definitely recommend!
