Hidden Object Adventure: Captain Nemo. Objets Cachés

[u]Recommendation[/u]: A pretty good, straightforward game that is almost entirely hidden object scenes. [u]Critique[/u]: This feels like a much older game than the date shown as the Steam release date; graphically, the game looks like something from twenty or more years ago (but the design clearly owes a debt to Facebook games, which means it can't be [i]quite[/i] that old). In many scenes, the objects you are trying to find are the same images that have been placed in a new background, possibly with a bit of rotation or clipping to suggest that it is behind something else. Obviously, that makes the game a LOT easier than many others: once you figure out what is meant by BOW, for example, you can look for the same thing on every screen afterward, without the ambiguity of other meanings of the word. This goes for a lot of things: the SWORD is always the same, as is the MASK. Some things have multiple versions, but it's always the same meaning: a ROPE is a rope. GLASSES have the most variety: sometimes it means eyeglasses, sometimes a pince nez, sometime goggles, but it's always something worn on the face over the eyes, rather than, say, multiple drinking vessels. [h3] Ok time-filler. [/h3] Good for those who enjoy lots of hidden object & spot the difference scenes. Each level can be replayed. Achievements are quick and very easy to get. Took a couple of hours. Story is basic and not very interesting.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. There's nothing spectacular about this game, but it's not too bad either. If you are looking for a short game, this is not a bad deal IF you buy it after a discount. It can be slightly challenging because the hidden objects are too hideous or small, but eventually, you will get the achievements. However, if you ask me whether I will recommend this game to others, I'm a bit reluctant to do so, although no problems exist while playing the game.

Decent. HOG only. Story.... exists. Rewarding challenges for time and points.
