Hive Dive Positives: + Nice graphics + The world you are flying in looks cool + Its over in a few minutes + Its free Negatives: - No mouse control (a big mistake) - No options for sounds or editing key bindings - No difficulty levels - Only one map on endless repeat (lazy programming) - No inverted control option - Because of the above it gets boring to play very fast - Unless you want to repeat the same lap over and over, its all over in a few minutes Not my cup of tea. This is not enough to be called a full game. One small lap on constant repeat is just lazy work. And when there is no mouse control either, Im done. Total Score: 2.5/10

"Hive Dive" is a student project from the Breda University of Applied Science and it's a real mixed bag... kinda okay, but low poly graphics meet with completely phoned in gameplay in this arcade rail shooter. You know that old, dead genre that only existed before the PC came along and let players have full freedom of movement, making arcade shooters obsolete? That might be the kind of thing they should teach game students at Breda. But they don't, so somehow the students thought it would be okay to make an on-rails shooter. Not a great idea. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in…

Nice game to play from start to finish. Quite difficult to get all of the achievements and to get a high place on the leaderboard, but it is double. For a student game it was made quite well! Allthough it does still require some work

This is a pretty good looking arcade game and fun slow to load but restarts easily

Controls do not work.

this is not a full game the setting is missing a lot. the enemy has one movement or it's stationary no boss fight it's one map game that is so repetitive, one aircraft one gun one maneuver... not fun not for me....
