Complete quests and rescue others from the onslaught to gain resources and uncover the mysterious origins of the evil you face.

Craft your own unique build with a range of weapons and special attacks, from a nimble swordfighter to a heavy hammer-wielder. From the castle keep to the desolate remains of your village, fight smart and use the environment to your advantage with choke points, high ground, and breakable structures.

The monsters are unrelenting, but so are you. Gain destructive and defensive abilities with each level-up to become a finely tuned force to be reckoned with. Strike down swarms with sword aflame, call down lightning as you land, and defy death with divine contracts.

Gameplay is extremely repetitive. Which is to be expected by a roguelite, but it's not roguelite repetitive, it's bad repetitive. Being forced to do the same event over and over again, despite beating the event is beyond frustrating. Add in some very obnoxious voice acting on said event, and it turns the game into a chore that I don't want to do, nor do I need to do it.2 found this helpful
Live with Hordes of Hunger!!! yippie1 found this helpful
I want to like it, the problem is it just is more an exercise in frustration. It's hard to say "Oh just speed up your parries" when the 4th area starts with A mix of A) Fast attacking enemies who need to be parried and B) Enemies that do fast, unblockable attacks at the area you're standing... which are quicker than your parry animation so tough luck if you want to parry ever again! Hey let's just throw out a key mechanic and make it so you can only dodge. Shame that the attacks track. Ah well, there's plenty of other games in the sea.1 found this helpful
I like the combat but meta progression needs more improvement. Having to repeat the same events is not very enjoyable.1 found this helpful
I dont like the combat, it feels like a early 2000s game, like this would be realy good 20 years ago...1 found this helpful
The concept is fun but the combat controls are too janky to enjoy. I spent more time fighting the controls than I did fighting the enemies. All combat is pretty much focused on spamming parry, but if you miss once, good night. On top of that, the dodge feels ...really bad. The round 2 enemies in the first zone will have a blast area longer than your dodge, good luck. The "roguelike" feature is fairly limited up front - There are several extremely good upgrades, if those are missed your rounds will be significantly harder. (e.g. you can hope for 1pts fire damage aura OR get an immediate 50% damage boost). Nothing really increases survivability, so it doesn't matter if you can cut through the horde, a few missteps and you're toast either way. TL;DR - Controls are janky and it punishes you for playing.
