About Hunter's Seal

Welcome to the Hunters Guild!

You’re not the hero slaying dragons, you just decide who's foolish enough to try! While the guild's reputation is in shambles, every hunt you approve could rebuild its glory... or bury it further.Hunter's Seal is a medieval fantasy job simulator where your observational skills and keen memory will be put to the test.

Approve and Reject Hunts

Your job is to identify the monster being described in a request and determine if a hunter is capable of slaying it based on their skill, weapon, and personality. Every quest demands something different, and the things to look out for grows everyday.

Not So Unique Monsters

Identifying monsters won't be easy. Even though every creature is unique, many share similar traits that could be confused for one another. Did a dragon's fire really burn the forest or was it acid from a giant slime?

Hunters of All Shapes and Sizes

The hunters are just as varied with their own quirks, ambitions, and questionable sense of preparedness. Some hunt monsters for glory, others to protect their family, but a few will insist that they should never be hunted at all.

Choices Matter

Not everyone wants you to do a good job. There is a group that believes killing monsters is wrong and that you are interfering with the natural order. Some will try to bribe, charm, or even threaten their way past you. Will you play it safe and just do your job, or will you gamble with the guild’s future and live with the consequences?

Honestly playing this game is nothing like how it is advertised. There is no way to fail if you do not make mistakes with the monster hunts. There are no interactions with the npcs that are listed in the description of the store page beyond a passing after rejecting them and or them telling you to just pass it through. So Technically they do threaten you and or chew you out if they do not agree with you not letting them do the quest. But its not a back and forth nor do they bribe you. Really the only thing that is done at all are the main story plot points which start or end the day. I made it to day five where things are meant to get more interesting but its more or less just make sure everything is in order and either follow the cult with out getting fired for a different ending or do not make a mistake ever and get the normal ending. There is no other game play here even though they are said to try "Bribe, threaten, ect" and well they don't really do any of that.

Pros: it is a very fun game and thought provoking. Cons: it is INCREDIBLY short. The demo was basically half the game. You can replay, sure, but I would not have expected it to end so quickly.

It's a chill little game with nice art and mechanics, but it really feels like playing a demo. I feel like there are mechanics that can still be added (e.g. the evidence and licenses seem to be a lot more versatile than the gameplay currently requires). I also am really missing a way to find out some of the things that I got wrong, because some mechanics aren't as intuitive as I think they're meant to be. Worth picking up for a few bucks, but not much more than that.
