I played this game extensively over twenty years ago; I know a couple of the hunting areas just like the back of my own hand. I purchased this because a) even though my original game will still run, I get tired of having to insert the disk each time and b) while some of the same hunting areas are found in Hunting Unlimited 2010 (which I also own on Steam), one of my favorites is found only in HU2. Be aware, kids, that HU2 isn't Call of Duty. You *will* have sessions in which you won't see a single animal, no matter how quiet and crafty you are. Just like REAL hunting.2 found this helpful

What stands out immediately is its simplicity: there are no lengthy tutorials, no elaborate ecosystems to learn, and no complicated progression systems. You pick your mission or enter Free Hunt mode, choose your weapon and equipment, and head into the wilderness to see what you can track down. One of its strengths, especially for its time, lies in its variety. The game features over seventy missions with specific objectives—taking down a particular animal, scoring a certain number of points, or navigating environmental hazards under time pressure. Really basic almost barebones hunting sim loved the animal count.
Me and my dad played this game on a old dell desktop pc when i was 9 years old i loved it then and love it now brings back so many memoires when i play!!!
