I Am Sakuya: Touhou FPS Game

Admittedly, i'm not usually an FPS enjoyer, but I got some thoughts on this game First off, I laughed out loud when I realized it was made in GZDoom, i just think that's objectively hilarious and also awesome The art is cute, the weapons are fun, levels are a bit mixed, and this totally does not at all follow touhou canon - like, in this game she says she bothered Reimu about dealing with the SDM, but in EoSD Reimu doesn't recognize her. Also the fact that this takes place before she becomes a maid means she has no reason to wear the maid outfit the whole game, is she even a maid yet?? Time stop as whole feels half baked, esp on the rising lift level where it freezes enemies and bullets but not the lift so it's only purpose it to stall, which accumulates enemies so it's probably not what you want unless you use it near the top Might be me but I also feel like Knives are just, the most versatile weapon by a longshot, I find myself using them most frequently. And yeah, that makes sense the Sakuya game's best weapon is her signature but like, yk It also bugs me how the boss enemies, despite most of them being the same size if not outright shorter than Sakuya in Canon, are taller than …

A very short DOOM mod with Touhou elements. Somewhat fun experience, but not by much. Maybe I just am not the biggest fan of the DOOM engine overall, and the game did not captivate me that much. The bosses would be the highlight for me, with some concepts of bullet hell dodging apply here, but the fight were not that involved. The music is also pretty nice.

Having a lot of fun with this one. The pacing, enemy placement, and projectile patterns make for combat encounters that really deliver on the game's thesis- and while not terribly long, there's been a lot of care to provide replay value and updates. Good shotty, too.
