VR Version is crazy, so realistic that i felt like Sakuya was coming inside of me. (yes i might have slightly shat myself when i have seen the gazillion Danmakus coming right at me)2 found this helpful
Make sense if you know what Touhou and Doom is. The VR implementation is very rudimentary and you need to adjust settings for yourself. Not very comfortable to play due to the lack of snap turning and slippery Doom movement. Given this is a game about being Sakuya I'm surprised there's no shortcut to use the watch. Stuck on hard mode Patchouli. Her homing projectiles are too much for me to deal with. Given the price and how you get Desktop / VR version for free when purchasing either, and that I don't suffer from VR dizziness, I'm okay with the experience.
This is awful VR experience I've ever had. Doom doesn't work with VR. The normal (keyboard-mouse) version is perfectly fine.
Broken controls - you need to bind Run or enable autorun to win this game. You unable to jump to balcony from moving elevator at some point or evade fire from Flandre. Only one gun seems useful - the first one. At elevator battle it is easier to die and wait till it moves all way up and switches to next map (but you lose all weapons expept 1st gun) If you roll weapon - bullets fly in wrong direction. But it is VR experience and fan-made project!
Pretty fun but after 30 minutes it causes nausea and fatigue.The game is too fast for vr everything happens to fast around it and overwhelms your senses.If you get over that pretty funny just a smoother turning and some better movement controls that dont destroy the sense of position of someone and might be a pretty fun experience.
Note: I play this game with a Meta Quest 3S Basically a VR version of I Am Sakuya on what appears to be running on a modified version of the GZDoomvr engine. For all intents & purposes it plays good although you might need to make some adjustments like binding the use action key and change VR HUD settings as I couldn't see the HUD well by default but honestly its just same old fun Touhou FPS bullet hell but in VR 💜
