the game play is simple and fun. challenging without being obnoxious. works well with either keyboard or controller. however I don't recomend the game for the menu glitches. many times it would refuse to let me highlight the upgrade I wanted without clicking on an upgrade I didn't want first, then canceling and then the one I wanted would be available. I finally quit when the only option I was given after a level up was an upgrade to the ship speed that instead reduced max speed to 0... and left me stranded and unable to play.

When I was a kid, I really really really really liked the hacking minigames in the Sly Cooper series, and when I got older and started writing out ideas for games to try to make myself one day, one of them was basically just "A full game of just Sly Cooper hacking". In the present day, I've essentially finished the Steam Discovery Queue (you know, within some level of reason, and I don't have it show me games only available in languages I don't speak or whatever, and of course one can never truly finish the queue because there will always be more games tomorrow, but I have exhausted the queue at least once, and every week or two I'll catch up on what's been recently released until it starts running out of games again) and as of this writing have viewed 106,502 games on it, and in that time one of the things I was specifically keeping my eye out for was a game similar to the hacking sections in Sly Cooper. To be specific, although there are lots of twin stick shooters on Steam, the majority of them seem to be focused on surviving waves of enemies and stuff, and I was looking for a game with a series of levels where you have to go from one end to the other making it through enemies a…

I got recommended this game by a fellow Sly Cooper fan due to the similarities to Bentley's hacking minigames, especially in Sly 2 and Sly 3. It's a pretty fun top-down twin-stick shooter and especially if you can get it on sale for just over $1 it's very much worth it.

I played this game years ago and never reviewed it. It has a graphical style similar to Geometry Wars but with an exploration element as well has level ups and upgrades. Experimenting with the different weapons gives it some light replay value. This game is criminally underrated and well worth the price.

Excellent vector-style graphics on a dungeon crawler.
